COURSE DESCRIPTION:
In this course students advance their filmmaking skills from beginner to intermediate. Students learn more in-depth aspects of digital camera operations, lighting, audio recording, narrative scripting, non-linear editing, and special effects. Students design and produce two short film projects, and work on one longer narrative film using scripts developed in a separate Tzohar creative writing course.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Demonstrate in-depth DSLR camera operations
Demonstrate an understanding of the basics of advanced digital editing with a focus on special effects
Evaluate how light impacts aesthetics in filmĀ
Evaluate how sound strengthens the narrative element in media
Understand the collaborative nature of film by producing a group narrative film
