COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Weekly 25 minute private guitar lessons individually tailored to the needs and level of each student, beginner through advanced. Students will be given assignments and one on one work to advance students’ knowledge of basic music theory, note reading, and guitar technique and musicianship.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Beginner students will learn basic guitar technique concurrent with learning to read music on the grand staff.
Advanced beginner students and above will receive instruction and assignments tailored to their level of ability, aimed at developing their guitar technique, theoretical knowledge, music reading and musicality.
All students will be furthered in their sense of musicianship, developing their capacity for careful listening as they play as a tool for interpretation and appreciation.
